Fresh Food Company @ Penfield
Located in Penfield Hall, Fresh Food Company serves as Mercer’s primary residential dining location, offering a buffet-style, all-you-care-to-eat experience. Dining stations include the grill, deli, salad bar, dessert station, plant-based selections, and a made-to-order Mongolian stir-fry grill.
Fresh Food Company operates Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Fresh Food Company is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Breakfast: 7 – 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Dinner: 4 – 8 p.m.
Farmers Market
Located in the University Center, Farmers Market provides full-service dining with an emphasis on fresh salads, cold and pressed sandwiches, personal-size pizzas, and hot entrées made throughout the day, with options available for every dietary preference.
New modifications to Farmers Market accommodate more diners. These updates include the addition of an awning and expanded outdoor patio seating equipped with fans and heaters for year-round comfort.
The True Balance station is available at Farmers Market. Designed for guests with food allergies or sensitivities, True Balance offers meals free from the top nine allergens while prioritizing customization. Students can build balanced meals using a selection of safe proteins, starches, vegetables, and other wholesome ingredients prepared in a dedicated environment.

- Chick-fil-A and Panda Express in the University Center
- The Drop, relocated to the Jack Tarver Library, featuring:
- Beary Blends: yogurt parfaits and açaí bowls
- Botrista: refreshing boba beverages and specialty coffee drinks
- The Spread: a rotating selection of grab-and-go favorites and light fare
- Einstein Bros. Bagels, located in the lower level of Jack Tarver Library.
- Toby’s To Go Food Truck: located on Cruz Plaza (weather permitting), operates Monday through Friday with a rotating menu that may include street tacos, Philly cheesesteaks, loaded baked potato bars, wings, and fries
C-stores and Micro Markets
The campus has several self-service convenience stores and micro markets carrying everyday goods such as batteries, toothpaste, pain relief, candy, snacks, and other grab-and-go items.
